Western Animal Hospital

Dr. Kim has dedicated her life to caring for animals with compassion, skill, and innovation. Born and raised in South Korea, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and veterinary license there in 1998. After several years in small animal practice, she moved to the United States to expand her career. In 2005, she received a California Veterinary License after graduating from the University of Florida.

For over two decades, Dr. Kim has been serving pets and their families with exceptional care across the Los Angeles area. She gained invaluable experience working in multiple small animal clinics, honing her skills in preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, and urgent care. Her reputation for providing attentive, compassionate care quickly earned her the trust of the community.

In 2012, Dr. Kim opened the doors to Western Animal Hospital, fulfilling her vision of creating a trusted neighborhood veterinary practice. Over the past 12 years, she has built strong credibility through years of treating pets and supporting families with the highest level of care. Recognizing the growing needs of the community, Dr. Kim recently expanded into a new, state-of-the-art facility.

This modern hospital is designed to provide the highest quality of medicine and surgery. With spacious treatment areas and advanced technology, the hospital allows her team to better accommodate pets of all sizes, perform complex procedures, and ensure a calm, comfortable environment for every patient. Dr. Kim’s vision was simple: to combine cutting-edge veterinary medicine with the warmth and personal care every pet deserves.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Kim enjoys an active lifestyle. She finds joy in scuba diving, hiking, traveling, and Pilates. At home, she continues her passion for animals by caring for her two beloved cats and her dog.

Today, Dr. Kim and the team at Western Animal Hospital remain committed to progress, compassion, and excellence—providing trusted veterinary care that helps pets live longer, healthier, and happier lives.
